Interior Walls & Stairs

It's an exciting Stage when the Interior Walls and the Stairs go in, because the house really starts to feel like a home rather than a giant Warehouse -- well, that's what ours was like without the Interior Walls!

One thing that was a big concern for me during this stage of the Build was the safety aspect of the open stairwell. We had scaffolding all the way around the opening, but our little boy, Aidan, was really young at the time, so we had to take extreme precautions to prevent any injuries. You do not have to be a child, though, to sustain an injury in an open stairwell situation... a quick step backward, and there's some serious trouble, so even if you have to quickly construct any type of barrier to give yourself and your workers a little 'heads-up' that they are too close to the stairwell is a good idea. Safety first, right?

I'll get a lot more picutres up on this page as soon as time allows!
